Waterbean Coffee Expanding in North Carolina

Waterbean Coffee has agreed to and signed a deal to open a second location in the NorthCross Shopping Center in Huntersville, NC. The vision of Waterbean is to create an atmosphere in which customers feel they can drop by and relax and grab a quick cup of coffee.You also can reserve space for a business meeting, or schedule events for people with like interests. Lee Jackson and Greg Godley, with Legacy, represented Waterbean Coffee and assisted them in locating 3,600 sqft of retail space at NorthCross Shopping Center located off Sam Furr road. This location is easily accessible from I-77. Waterbean Coffee plans to open this new location within the next 6 months.
Waterbean originated from a conversation between Tony Vo, owner, and his wife Annie while discussing how to find the perfect blend of coffee. Tony’s vision for his new business was to turn high quality beans delivered fresh from the roaster into an amazing coffee experience for his customers. The reason Waterbean isn’t your typically coffee house is due to the interest that Tony has in cars. Tony had the aspiration of being able to go and get a cup of coffee but also be able to speak and hang out with people that also enjoyed his interest in high end cars. Tony was unable to find coffee houses that shared this view. Waterbean Coffee’s original location is 19420 Jetton Rd, Cornelius, NC. The new location in the NorthCross Shopping Center allows for Tony to have more space for his car events which he plans to hold more often.

Kennedy’s Bar and Grill Sale

David Tschirhart and Adam Williams brokered the sale of Elizabeth hot spot Kennedy’s Premium Bar & Grill. Kennedy’s is known for their friendly staff, shown above, and for having the best patio in Charlotte. Legacy sold Kennedy’s in under 4 months. The new ownership group is going to keep the Kennedy’s name and continue business as usual. Why mess with a good thing?


Church Relocating to Archdale Drive

Igesia Pentecostal El Tabernaculo is relocating to 416 Archdale Dr. Jay Snover and Hunter Graham with Legacy Real Estate advisors represented the church throughout their search, ultimately closing on 416 Archdale in early June. The building is located a quarter mile from the intersection of I-77 and Nations Ford Rd. The church has several capital improvements planned for the 23,000 SF facility and hopes to begin meeting and fully operating by early July.


Curling Club Coming to Charlotte, NC

An exciting new venture is coming to Charlotte- The Charlotte Curling Club. The Charlotte Curling Club is a not-for-profit organization committed to bringing all aspects of the sport of curling to those interested. Greg Godley, with Legacy, represented The Charlotte Curling Club and helped them locate and purchase 4 acres of land at 6525 Old Statesville Road. They plan to build a 16,500 SF facility that will open to the public in the fall of 2014. 12,000 SF of the total building will be taken up by ice!
Founded in 2010, the Charlotte Curling Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping the Olympic sport of curling flourish in the Charlotte area. The organization consists of over 90 junior, adult and senior members, ranging from zero to 50+ years of curling experience. These dedicated members have driven many successful endeavors, including hosting multiple tournaments, known as bonspiels, and a renowned curling training camp for curlers across the United States and Canada. Tschirhart and Williams represented Missouri based Treadwell Enterprises in their search for real estate. Treadwell Enterprises currently has 108 restaurants in their portfolio across 7 states. HuHot is an all you can eat Mongolian Grill that features a 7 foot grill in the center of their restaurants where you watch your food being prepared.
