Long time Legacy client, Shak Pate signs multi-unit deal in South Carolina for new franchise THE HALLAH GUYS

The Halal Guys are embarking on a significant expansion into South Carolina through a newly signed five-unit franchisee agreement. Shak Patel, who brings extensive experience as a multi-unit Potbelly franchisee and who is a long-time client represented by David Tschirhart of Legacy, is leading this initiative. Alongside business partners Vrund Patel and Robert Parks, they’ve established The Carolina Guys to drive the growth of The Halal Guys locations across Fort Mill, Rock Hill, and Columbia, South Carolina.

Founded in 1990, The Halal Guys have achieved substantial success with their gyro- and chicken-focused menu, amassing a network of over 100 locations worldwide. This expansion into the Carolinas represents a strategic move to introduce their renowned cuisine to new markets, leveraging the expertise and partnerships of experienced franchisees like Shak Patel and his team.

Four long-time friends, lawyers by trade, with a passion for home beer brewing present the latest entry to the Charlotte Microbrewery market. George Sistrunk, Mark Kutny, Richard Morton and Allen West see their dream come to life as they open Town Brewing  at 800 Grandin Road.

Town Brewing will open it’s 10,600-square-foot facility on Friday Sept 28th at 2pm. Legacy’ brokers Rodney Faulkner and David Tschirhart assisted the group in negotiating their lease for the attractive venue tucked behind Rhino Market,near the intersection of Freedom and Morehead Streets in West Charlotte. The brewery will consist of a 15-barrel, three-vessel system with a variety of fermenting options. Town Brewing’s master brewer Brian Quinn plans to have eleven beers ready on tap by their planned grand opening of Oct. 13, Quinn says.

“Expect everything from easy-drinking lagers to IPAs to be on tap at any given time. The opening roster includes options such as “Escape Plan”, an American Style IPA, as well as “hazy IP”, “My Apologie” and “You’re Welcome”. There’s also session sour “Naked Napoleon” — with a seasonal variety raspberry hibiscus planned — and “Trit Happens” with Coffee, a Triticale Porter infused with Charlotte’s Enderly Coffee”  Charlotte Business Journal 

Town Brewing aims to carve out a niche as both a neighborhood hangout — and a destination, says Heather Wendrow, operations manager.

Town Brewing Co. Opening This Summer in FreeMore West

The team at Legacy has brought another brewery to the Queen City.  The Town Brewing Co. will open this summer in a 10,600 Square Foot building in the up and coming area dubbed FreeMore West.  David Tschirhart and Rodney Faulkner represented Town in their search for the perfect brewery site.

Town Brewing will serve small plates and sandwiches and will be family and dog friendly. Expect some collaboration between their next door neighbor  Rhino Market & Deli, who is also a Legacy client, and the brewery.   Town will have a 15-barrel system and plans on having a set of year-round beers and rotating seasonal brews.

There will be both an indoor and outdoor bar on their large patio.   Garage doors will give the interior space a great open and airy feel.   Legacy wants to welcome Town Brewing Co. to the Charlotte Brewery scene.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop Leases Third Location, Fourth in the works.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop has leased a third location in the Charlotte market — and already has plans for a fourth.

Franchisee, Shak Patel, says the chain’s third local eatery in the Ballantyne area will open in late summer 2018.

Patel currently owns and operates Potbelly Sandwich Shop at the Latta Arcade  in uptown Charlotte and March 2018 will see a second location open in South Park . The third offering will be this newly leased Ballantyne store. David is assisting Patel as he negotiates for their fourth location to be announced at a later date….STAY TUNED.

Urban Bricks Pizza Co Coming to the EpiCentre

Charlotte  introduces Urban Bricks to the EPI CENTRE

The owners of this cozy American taproom uptown want you to make yourself at home. Is now open in the Fifth Third Center at 214 N. Church Street.

That fast-casual pizza chain serves customizable, authentic Neapolitan pizzas. Dough is made fresh, in house daily. Flour and tomatoes are imported from Italy.

Locally, Dan Tangeman’s Urban NC Bricks LLC expects to open three locations in the Carolinas within the next three years.

“I believe in the Urban Bricks Pizza product and that it will stand out among other fast-casual pizza offerings in the state,” he says.
