Charlotte’s uptown will soon have a new culinary destination featuring fresh Carolina seafood. Sea Level will be opening later this year at the Hearst Tower in the food and beverage-centric, 5th Street and Tryon neighborhood. Legacy’ Adam Williams brought Parkway Properties and Paul Manley (Sea Level owner) to an agreement which ends Manleys’s two year search for the dream location for his seafood and raw bar featuring local seafood and shellfish, especially North Carolina oysters. “We’re a farm-to-fork Carolina oyster bar,” he says.   The 4200 sq ft restaurant, formerly home to LaVecchia’s Steaks and Seafood, will undergo renovation to create a rustic, comfortable and approachable space. Williams loves the energy this ventures brings to the Charlotte neighborhood “It becomes kind of a marquee Fifth Street location, right in the middle of a vibrant food and beverage scene,” he says.
